One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is a life so full of purpose that a relationship is no longer the center of your world. Be so busy becoming the woman God has called you to be that a man becomes the least of your concern. Build your faith. Chase your goals. Heal from what hurt you. Grow your confidence. Take care of your mind, your body, and your heart. Let your life reflect purpose instead of waiting.
If a man truly wants to pursue you, he will. The book of Ruth is a beautiful reminder of this. Ruth wasn’t sitting around wondering when Boaz would notice her. She was working. She was faithfully gathering grain in the fields, taking care of her responsibilities, and honoring God. It was while she was busy living with integrity and purpose that Boaz noticed her. Her focus wasn’t on finding a husband—it was on being faithful with what was in front of her.
Sometimes we spend so much energy searching for love that we neglect the life God is trying to build through us. What if this season isn’t about finding someone? What if it’s about becoming someone?
Become the woman who walks in confidence without needing validation. Build your business. Go back to school. Travel. Strengthen your relationship with God. Create the life you’ve been praying for. Let your purpose make so much noise that you don’t have time to chase what God can bring to your doorstep.
The right man won’t be intimidated by your purpose he’ll recognize it, respect it, and pursue you with intention. So stop waiting by the phone. Stop obsessing over who’s watching your story. Stop putting your life on pause.
Like Ruth, keep working. Keep growing. Keep trusting God. When it’s time, the person meant for you won’t have to be convinced to pursue you. Until then, stay focused on becoming everything God created you to be.
