Call me Ruth

“Be the woman God is preparing not the woman the world pressures you to become.”

Not because my story looks exactly like hers, but because I’ve made the decision to carry the same kind of faith, humility, and perseverance. Call me Ruth because I’m choosing purpose over panic. While the world tells women to chase attention, I’m choosing to chase God.

While others are consumed with finding love, I’m committed to becoming the woman he has called me to be. Ruth didn’t spend her days searching for Boaz she spent them working. She faithfully showed up, served with excellence, and trusted God with the rest.

It was in the middle of her obedience that God orchestrated a divine connection. That’s the kind of woman I desire to be. Call me Ruth because I’m not settling out of loneliness. I’m not forcing doors that God hasn’t opened. I’m not begging to be chosen when God has already called me worthy. I’m building. I’m healing. I’m growing. I’m protecting my peace. I’m preparing for everything God has promised me.

If love finds me along the way, beautiful. But until then, my focus remains on the one writing my story. So call me Ruth not because I’m waiting on a man, but because I’m walking in purpose, trusting that what God has ordained for me will find me at the right time.
