One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is that sometimes we break our own hearts by refusing to let go of what God has already released.
We hold on to potential, memories, and who someone used to be. Meanwhile, God is trying to introduce us to peace.
I used to think letting go meant losing. Now I realize letting go is sometimes the greatest act of self-love. Every time I stopped chasing someone who wasn’t choosing me, I made room for God to heal the parts of me that accepted less than I deserved.
Healing isn’t always loud. Sometimes it looks like deleting the number. Sometimes it looks like praying instead of texting. Sometimes it looks like crying one last time and deciding, “I deserve peace more than I deserve confusion.”
If someone has to repeatedly convince you to settle for inconsistency, mixed signals, or emotional breadcrumbs, they’re not protecting your heart; they’re testing how much you’ll tolerate.
Today, choose yourself.
•Choose healing over history.
•Choose peace over potential.
•Choose purpose over attachment.
Because what God has for you will never require you to abandon yourself to receive it.
